Nebulous posted this one, so credits to him for the original idea.

What brings you the thought of not wanting children of your own? (This is for certain people.)

Well at the moment I doubt I'd be able to afford them... :P

I don't even want children in general... I'm just saying this, because I don't hate kids... I'm saying this because are planet is over populated.
And plus, kids now a days are 50 times as more greedy, as they we're back in the early 2000s and 1900s.
Kids, now a days want to blow they're mommies and daddies wallets, by asking for a new phone every freaking month or asking to buy a new video game that just came out that day.

When, I was younger all I wanted was more legos. lol.
I had the creativity and, I kept my self busy making and creating.

Now a days you got 3-5 year olds playing on iPads, iPhones, before they can learn how to walk and talk... lol

My youngest step-brother that lives with my moms, in downtown; Already knows how to use YouTube, Apps, Google and etc... Before he could freaking read a book.

Just never had that motherly drive. I mean, I think kids are cute and all, but I know I don't have the tolerance, patience, the mental stability, or the desire to want children in my life.

Copypasting one of my older posts:
Most people nowadays don't want to have children for various factors. One of them is the country's financial situation. There are others, but one of them made me feel weird (seriously) and it's the fact some women are afraid of being pregnant. Adopting children is a temporary solution to that fear though.

I decided at the age of 8 I wasn't having children.

I have no maternal instinct
I am asexual
I have an unusally low pain threshold
I have mental health problems
I value my freedom too much
I actually hate children. Obnoxious little brats.

Oddly enough, I was never obnoxious or bratty when I was a kid. While the other kids were busy running around, causing trouble, I was always content sitting quietly in the corner, minding my own business. I still am, actually. Huh.

Anyway, no children for me due to several reasons, one them being my wish to spite my parents and deny them grandchildren as a payback for all the abuse they've put me through during my childhood. My father is already dead, so that's one down, one to go. After that, my family line dies with me.

I used to like kids more, but don't really much these days. I think after I started working at McDonalds and how bratty my cousins kids are kinda soured me on that. I don't have interest in having kids...other then furry ferret children.

I suppose I can't answer this thread since I already have a kid, but shes grown now. The thought of starting all over again with a new baby of my own seems daunting. No thanks. I already served my time. :P

I'm undecided, but more of me leans towards not wanting children because the world can be a miserable place to live at times and I also don't want to pass my bad genes down to my children.

My parents had no moral constrictions passing their bad genes on to me. They always had health issues which I succesfully inherited and have to deal with my whole life. Another reason for me not to have children. No need to condemn another human being(s) to a life of pain and suffering.

Because the idea of being responsible for a child's health, well-being and happiness - as well as the formation of their worldview - terrifies me.

It's a level of responsibility that I'm simply not cut out for.
