I posted something yesterday that used read (present) and read (past) in the same sentence. After posting it I looked at it and thought "huh, how's anyone supposed to read this language?" :P

Not really.
I mean, I've heard and read plenty of English from early childhood, but no. I remember knowing what "power" meant when I was 4-9 :|
