Jon Stewart Is Still On The Warpath After The Eric Garner Verdict.

Step one: Set up the arguments why Eric Garner "deserved" to die or "brought it on himself." Step two: Show why each of those is utterly ridiculous.

Your thoughts?

When even Bill O'Reilly says there is something troubling about the way police handled the confrontation, you know that the majority of people are firm in their stance that "he shouldn't have resisted" isn't a good enough excuse for what the police officers did.

I completely agree that Bill O'Reilly is a fat ugly idiot who has no idea what he's talking about, as are the rest of the people on Fox and MSNBC, CNN news. However, I completely agree with everything Jon Stewart said. Couldn't have phrased it better myself.

I think the message from all of these unfortunate incidents is clear.

Don't give the police an excuse to use force at all, because if you do, they'll use excessive force, then your high school yearbook picture will be on the news.

We've allowed our government to give police a militaristic means of "protecting and serving" the public, and are realizing how much that has backfired.  It's created an all-out war in some respects, in certain areas of the country, and yet even in the most clear of cases where police have been enforcing their authority to use excessive force, they still get off Scott free.

I hardly ever agree with Stewart on anything. I agree this is very troubling on how cops handled this. The cops have tazers and mace and seem to like to use it all the time but why not here. But what I do not agree with is these cops who screwed up big time did it because he was a black man.

Many things I do not see Bills way. But he is one of the few on the news stations who really tries to be fair in a almost nauseating way to hear both sides of the argument. And on this one I do agree it is very troubling on how the cops handled this.
