What's one harsh truth when it comes to dating/relationships?

My answer: You still need to have your own life outside of the relationship.

Sometimes the feeling isn't mutual no matter how badly you and the other person want it to be. Some times people based on who they are, don't go well together and the relationship falls apart.

There is an old saying by Rainer Maria Rilke and I quote..

A person isn't who they are during the last conversation you had with them - they're who they've been throughout your whole relationship.
