To The Off Topix Community As A Whole:

I'm sorry.

I work very hard not to be stupid. Sometimes it doesn't prevent it, but I try.

I also do not need any of yours, I have quite enough that I have come by naturally.

Which means I do not need any help being stupid. I can manage quite well all on my own. Ask pretty much anybody on here, they'll vouch for me.

So please do not take offense if I do not play into something somebody says or does on the board, as I have other goals I am working toward and being continually offensively stupid on line is no longer one of them, if it ever was. If that is what you're after, enjoy, I hope it works out well for you.

Thank you

As you were.

Fascinating.

Sorry for the delay but I've been trying to think of some stupid remark. I'm still working on it!

Thank you both.

But as to Costume's remark, I find life plenty interesting without intentionally putting extra nonsense in play. As evidenced by posts in various threads by assorted unnamed individuals which I will not reply to, even if it is 'my' thread.

For Miss Jazzy, I'm certain that if you think about it long enough and hard enough, you'll come up with something that would be second nature to me.

I'd highly avoid the stupid and continue with the non-stupid things such as good behaviour. You're only human, not a bot.

The underlying point was made.

And if I think somebody is being intentionally ignorant, I may never respond to them.

And if they post something that is illegal, if I were the mod their IP address and the post would be on its way to the FBI Online Crimes Office, not just deleted from the post.

But that's not my call to make on here, for which I am eternally glad.

For my part, I have been online since there was a line to be on. I've seen them come and go, and I'm no longer impressed.

Fires

Thank you.

And your comment reminded me of something that somebody said to me many moons ago about this one, almost word for word:

They ended by saying that it was a roller coaster on paper

Indianapolis

So tell me what is happening then. The Secretary of State said to his people.

We don't know.

The Secretary didn't seem to like that answer. He glared at them.

We do know the geologist office is right on top of it. He's sending a team to Greensburg to see what's happening there.

Wait a minute. The earthquake was in Terre Haute. Why are they going to Greensburg? That's on the other side of the state.

The man that spoke took a deep breath. There's been a series of small earthquakes over there. And there have been reports of sinkholes and stuff. Water main breaks. Things like that. They're worried about groundswell.

But they know what's causing that at least... Don't they?

The aids looked at each other.

The Secretary leaned onto the table. He spoke calmly and without emotion.

Ladies and Gentlemen. The Governor called me looking for answers. I called you looking for answers. I do not intend to call her back until I have those answers. Find me somebody, from the university, from National Geographic, I don't care. I want to know what's happening before the whole state slides into the Ohio River. OK?
