What's the most difficult decision you can think of that only contains two choices?

I was hoping for some serious replies in this thread. I will make one now:

Euthanizing a beloved pet who is clearly declining, though not in pain. Do we wait until he is in pain, when do we know he is in pain? He eats, sleeps, but doesn't engage in his formally favorite past times.

Lousy price to pay and a heartbreaking decision to make for a faithful, loving creature. It's a heavy responsibility and the price we pay for their companionship and devotion.

Mine was a serious reply.

As in your example.

To NOT make a choice, is still making the choice.

And in that case, the decision will ultimately be made for you. And will, in the end, probably be more painful for all concerned.

To abort your downs syndrome unborn baby, or not to abort.

Which would you choose?

Always life over death. Everyone should have a chance at it.
