Ordering appetizers?

When you go out to eat, do you usually order appetizers to eat before your meal comes?

Do you ever order appetizers instead of a main course?

Do you just order a drink and your meal?

What about desert?

I forego appetizers and save my appetite for the main meal. Dessert all depends on how full I am after eating the main meal.

I usually just order my meal. Appetizers aren't really necessary unless the portions are small at that particular restaurant.
