Lots of businesses have already gone under and some are on their way there! Some just close unexpectedly.

What are some businesses you wish were still around?

What company (or companies) do you think will go out of business within the next ten years? Why?

Here's another question for the thread:

If everyone was exactly like you, what industries would go out of business?

I believe the primary cause for companies going out of business is the access to Internet Trading. The first thing it hits are your local corner shops, as everything is so much cheaper to buy from eBay / Amazon etc. Then come the smaller supermarkets when the Online Shopping conglomerates take over, when bulk buying works out cheaper, along with delivery to the door.

Similarly, one of the primary causes of unemployment is how technology has made the human factor obsolete. Robots churn out millions of items every hour 24 / 7, far more reliably than any craftsman could manage, as well as being so much cheaper than employing a staff to do it.

The subsequent problem, however, is that without employment the companies begin to lose their potential clientele, as they lack the funds to buys their goods.

Sears Roebuck will likely cut K-Mart by next year. Reason is because of poor customer attendance and bargain junk.

Many Michigan businesses within 10 years. Reason is because Michigan has a piss-poor economy, and what our current governor (Rick Snyder) might do by his second term in his comfy office in Lansing, is to purchase the crumbling businesses such as Domino's Pizza, Little Caesar's, Ally Financial, Belle Tire, Spartan Stores, and many others. Then he'll relocate each business' headquarters out of state and out of country.

Snyder is scaring the living shit out of me because he cares less about employment, and more on his greedy ass.
