Oh yes! I remember my mom's friend had a cat that was so fat it could barely walk. Poor thing.

Cats are notorious for always being hungry. Even when they're not hungry, they still eat, probably out of boredom, kinda like humans checking the fridge when they think they're hungry, but are actually bored.

Both dogs and cats love to eat so it's best to try to get them on a diet if their weight is causing them issues. My cat Gizmo is a big floof ball, and he's slightly overweight. He is a maine coon and they're known for being big cats. He also knows when it's time for a can of wet food too, he only gets one a day and it's in the morning. He'll start meowing if he hears my wife or I shifting in bed.

We take our dogs for a walk but cats are just trapped inside the house most of the time. It’s not their fault they’re fat.

….unless you have an outdoor cat who’s fat, which is very rare.

We used to, but not anymore. Two of them are too crazy to handle, the little one, on the other hand, we could probably handle but we must all be too lazy to do so.

That’s why they’re getting fat, they need some exercise. Is there a dog park (or regular park) locally where you can let them run around?

There is, in fact, the only time we took one of our dogs to the dog park we had a bad experience. One dog bit our dog.

Indeed, but for the longest time she was a terror around unfamiliar dogs, now she's been around them so much at our vet that she's not as bad as she used to be, but she usually starts moaning when a dog is in her bubble. At least she's not aggressive towards other dogs still.

Yes typically it gets the best of them unfortunately. This is why people should not feed their animals human food and go for good quality dog food or raw food diets

My daughter feeds her dog human food at her moms house all the time! I tell her she shouldn't do that but she don't care.

No, but she may have a few times if we didn't restrain her. Bit one of our dogs when he was a puppy.

Yeah, she used to be pretty aggressive around other dogs, another one of our dogs is aggressive around people, and our other dog is totally mellowed out.
