Pancakes vs waffles?

Waffles bro all the way!

You can make literal sandwiches out of them with hamburgers in between or you can smother them in syrup or in fruit or what ever you want and they generally won't get as soggy as pancakes will.

I've never thought of putting a burger patty in between two waffles! Thats crazy. Probably good though.

Pancakes seem easier to cook, but waffles would be my choice; easy to warm/crisp leftovers up a little in the toaster oven.

i'm a waffle person. the recipes are pretty much exactly the same. neither is really sweet. picturing a hot turkey sandwich... on a Black Friday.... on a waffle with each little divot swimming with great, homemade gravy!

years ago, on a "girls weekend" with niece (she was about 10-12), i dusted off the waffle iron. she had NO IDEA what it was as it sat on the counter. how sad to have only ever had waffles from freezer & toaster.

tried potato pancakes in the waffle iron. a little messy but YUMMY.

how about a WBLT?!

and for regular breakfast waffles... plenty of butter and REAL Maple syrup!

This topic is ideal for me because I am an insane lover of pancakes (not sweet). I love them with ham, cheese, russian and chicken salad ^_^

Waffles hold the butter and syrup nicely. But pancakes are classier and cook with blueberries or chocolate chips better. But with fried chicken definitely waffles.

I prefer Pancakes mainly due to the texture. Waffles are alright though. The thing that matters most is the syrup XD .

Both is something i don't eat often and i will not miss if i didn't have at all.. but from this two Pancakes take my vote.

Bit of a mood thing with me, I think. I have not actually good, homemade waffles in a long time since I don't own a waffle iron. But I make pancakes maybe ever couple weeks. But would probably lean to waffles for similar reason to @Reddington, they can have a very nice, crunchy texture.
