Part-time Job

Did you ever have a part-time job throughout school or along with a full-time job?

I've personally never had a part-time job or even plan on it, but that could very easily change as time passes. As long as I do good in school and stay out of trouble, I doubt my parents will make me get a part-time job. However, I've heard that a part-time job throughout your younger years actually helps you to become better prepared for your destined career field.

It's nice to have the extra cash... and working teaches you the value of a dollar. And it's good to put on a resume for future jobs.

I started working when I was about 13. Worked part time in an office. Which was a lot better than when I worked at the ice cream parlor part time......

Yeah I've been working at the same place for about 2 years, i only do 5.5 hours a week but i get about £220 a month. Enough for drinking etc.

You can buy stuff for yourself without having to rely on your parents for everything. You understand how hard it is, you work a whole hour for a few bucks. Your friends go out and ask you to go with them but you have to work. Your boss tells you off but it's not like you can do anything. The experience is worth it though, and it will look pretty good on your resume.



So, EB Games, hire me. I won't even go out back to have a smoke.

That isn't the best place to work unless you are REALLY knowledgable about video games and the gaming universe. If you aren't, customers will look at you like you're retarded.[/quote]



No worries. I've hung around an EB Games, in the city, and the customers are retarded. The people who work there are too. I will fit in just fine.
