What do you think of patient-assisted suicide?
If the patient has no will to live then why should anyone tell them otherwise? Why not let them die with dignity?
If you were on life support and there is slim hope to improving and no hope to return to normal life would you want someone to pull the plug?
Why keep someone alive knowing that they will eventually die in a later stage in life? Would it have made a difference?
Maybe it's just my fatalistic view, but death is natural, it's beautiful, there is no more suffering involved afterwards. If I were in a coma and living like a vegetable I would want someone to do the coup de grace and put me out of my misery. I don't make sense to my existence nor have I any expectations but for death itself. Death is the one true fate we all share equally - all the creatures of this earth big and small. Sometimes I feel that hope is but an illusion.
