Actor Paul Walker, who shot to fame as star of the high-octane street racing franchise "Fast & Furious," died Saturday in a car crash in Southern California. He was 40.

Walker was a passenger in a friend's 2005 Porsche Carrera GT and both were attending a charity event for his organization, Reach Out Worldwide, in the community of Valencia in Santa Clarita, about 30 miles north of Hollywood.

Speed was a factor in the crash, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office said.

The wreck took place about 300 yards from the office park where the event was held.

And I will forever remember where I was when I found out. A shitty cafe in Point Cook...

RIP Pauly.

Glad someone finally posted this. I would have if I wasnt posting from my phone all day.

How ironic if you think about the shows he was involved in: "Fast & Furious", "Highway to Heaven" and "Touched By An Angel."

Sad and senseless death.

That's a pity.

Maybe they'll stop churning out sequels though, since he was about the only good thing about Fast & Furious.

My dad told me this morning, Very sad news I love Fast & Furious films.

Yep. Because a movie has never tried to remain profitable after not being able to keep the original actors.
American Pie being a good example.

Well no, but he was basically the poster-boy of them. Vin Diesel and that guy from Tokyo Drift are great, but there are really only three reasons to watch Fast & Furious movies: Nice tits, nice abs, and vroom vrooms. Now they've lost arguably the nicest of abs, so I'm hopping they'll at least slow down (hah) with the sequels.

It sucks that anyone dies, but I'm getting sick that I've been seeing and hearing so much about his death like he was Jesus or something... Not trying to be mean but people are obsessed with actors and celebrities that they think they know them, and cry more for them then the people they actually do know... Am I bad for saying this? :|

I can't say that people cry more for celebrities, but more people do cry for celebrities than say, someone's uncle who wasn't famous. Because obviously more people know of the celebrity's person's existence.
