Do you prefer pedigree / full-blooded or mixed-breed dogs?

Does having the "papers" mater to you?

Explain your choice?

I don't prefer one or the other but I think it does matter for certain breeds. People need to stop breeding "doodles" tbh. And pugs. So many things wrong with them.
My mixed breed dog is a lot less sensitive (health-wise) than my Pedigree dog, though. His stomach is very particular about food, treats, etc. Whereas my lil mixed breed will eat anything and everything and nothing phases her! Lol.

I prefer a happy dog, irrespective of what breed they are or aren't. I don't care about pure breeding, I care about a dog that I can care for and that cares for me.
Pretty much this. As long as they're healthy and have responsible breeders, I don't care if they're pedigree or mixed and adopted from a shelter.

I had Maltese, Pomeranian, also i had a dog that was half jack Russell
does not matter really for me only if are small dogs...

I rather just adopt a dog. Breed doesn't matter beyond what is a match for my lifestyle and theirs . When adopting if I see a Greyhound I am not getting it as they would not match my life style.. I currently have two rescues one being a hound mix and the other being a mastiff mix.

I used to prefer purebred dogs, not necessarily pedigreed because I've thought that I wanted them 'fixed' and not interested in showing. I had a purebred Akita for 16 years that was my soulmate & love of my life. Then a purebred 7-y-o Rhodesian Ridgeback adopted from the RR Rescue people; he had a serious overbite, but that did not slow his ability to eat. Very sweet dog, also turned out that he had a thyroid deficiency, but that was easily managed with meds. Then he developed bone cancer. Only had him for about three years.
After that I started leaning toward "mixed breeds" are generally healthier.
That has fortunately turned out to be true with the dog we have now.....a Border Collie/Aussie mix. She's about 12 or 13 now; we got her as a 2-year-old from the Border Collie rescue group.
