Hey guys,

Tonite has been a heated nite! Although I'm very happy, I've inclined myself in a I'm not using a nulled software argument, when it's blatant the person is.

I come to ask what's your take on people who use nulled software for non open source software and try to justify their way out of the arguments?

Me, I argue with them until they flatout say they give up and plead guilty.

I guess they think I'm cookoo!

This thread will lead to end up breaking these rules.

Code:
(d) False information or libel;

(o) Trolling. Trolling is someone who is here with malicious intent (starting arguments, antagonizing other people, insulting people, or being excessively negative).

Can someone please lock this?

There is nothing wrong with this thread.

I dont like it when people do, and then complain that someone is harassing them because someone else knows that they are using nulled software.

Sorry? I'm not presenting false information or libel publications. Nor am I trolling. I'm not directing this thread at any one particularly, so, someone please add comments to this thread that are worthwhile.

Actually, this thread has not directly attacked any user, and saying it is false information is not true. I know of people who are using nulled software. And if you think he is being a troll by starting this, then that is a bit off. This isn't attacking any user I know here. And if it is, then I hope they get banned off VB.

Until this thread ACTUALLY does break a rule, I'm keeping it open.

Keep it civil.

Oh, and Unknown, please don't quote rules. You're not above anyone. If you have a problem with someone, take it up with an admin or me VIA PM, or simply report the post. You are not a moderator. Quit trying to act like you are.

People using nulled softwares must not care much about their community. At any moment someone from the software's anti piracy team could stumble upon the forum (or maybe they could have been reported).. When they find a nulled script, they send a takedown notice to the host or legal actions will be taken. The host will most likely immediately shut down the hosting account the forum is located on. Like I said, the forum owner must not care about his/her community too much if they will be willing to risk all that.

Anyways, if you suspect someone is using a nulled vb or ipb, you can report them here:

vB: http://www.vbulletin.com/piracy.php

IPB: http://www.invisionpower.com/piracyreport.php

Thanks for your step in, Skillet. One of my biggest pet-peeves are those who backseat moderate. If you're going to be a member leveled moderator, report posts and warn your peers privately using PM's.

Tayne, me too! I usually put up a fight until people just say they are. Very rarely will I report them, because sooner or later, they'll get tired of pwnage... Yes, I'm saying I pwn.

Nebulous! Good seeing your thoughts. I agree that one doesn't care about their forum if they use nulled scripts. To say the least, if you're a creditable site, and you're caught using nulled software, your site will lose its reputation and credibility. And, DCKShop offers cheap vBulletin licenses. It's only 55 dollars!
