How much does it cost you to have your pet(s)?
I have a few hermit crabs, and they're very inexpensive.
Initial setup is high though, because you have to buy the aquarium and get sponges, extra shells, and some coconut fiber/sand.
After the setup, which is about $50+, it's only about $25 at the most a year to cover their food/water. I'm probably going to change their substrate one or twice a year, so I'd say another 20 bucks. Not too much, and it's something to do.
