php isnt a software, its a scripting language. MyBB runs on php.

I think you mean phpBB though.

Probably. phpBB in my opinion. However, MyBB is better software for beginners. If you know what you're doing and have good knowledge of phpBB, you have room to work with phpBB and can surprisingly do a lot to compare with competitive forum software. Main difference is that phpBB isn't a ready made install software, you generally have to install a few modifications to get it to most peoples' standards.

phpBB3 is way better than myBB, but myBB is okay I suppose for its AJAX, a thing phpBB3 will need to improve in the future.

From my experiences, Phpbb is a better forum to post on over mybb but I never got into the acp to know how differently they work so yeah. XD
