Why people still think old(or outdated) movie is "piracy/illegal"? even the movie already shown on Tv? do you think so? (sorry for the english) :)

The networks that show a movie on TV pay for the broadcast rights of the film.

By definition, a 'pirate download' does not pay for anything.

Movies are not free to make, you have to pay for strutting celebrities to quit hobnobbing with politicians and show up on the set once in awhile and say something to the camera.

You also have to pay for the guys that put the sets together, work the lights, all of it.

And sometimes, especially with 'blockbusters' the ticket sales from the theater doesn't cover the production budget. So they rely on TV, DVD sales and rentals, and so on, to make up the difference.

Yes, most celebs are overpaid arswholes, but the people behind the scenes sometimes have to have a couple of outside jobs to make ends meet. They are the ones you are hurting.

Yeah. For example, movies on Netflix aren't there forever because Netflix stopped paying for the rights to show them.

When it comes to piracy..the thing is about technology, the more restrictions are imposed, the more people try to circumvent the restrictions.  Coming from a third world country where the common people cannot afford to buy original games, I can see a lot of back door channels where they can obtain those games at a fraction of the original cost.  They used to say that putting region lock on DVD would prevent it from being pirated.  Is it still true today?  When the PS2 came out, they say it was not possible to pirate it.  That may be true at that time, but now?  I don't think so.

Sometimes, I understand why some people pirate.  But often times, it's too much that you should be ashamed of yourself.  Take mobile apps for example.  an app cost roughly around $0.99, do you still want to pirate those?  And yet, it is rampant here.  There is a place here that are full of shops that will jailbreak your apple product and install an unlimited amount of apps for a certain fee.  That's just crazy.

I'm just telling the truth of the reality and how it is right now.

On another point, piracy does have some benefits to a certain degree. It totally boosts the popularity of a certain brand or product. Although it may harm the original artist, I have heard some artists thanking torrent downloaders, as they are the ones that boosts their work into cult status.
