Plans for Thanksgiving?

My brother and I go to my parents house for Thanksgiving every year. Mom does all the cooking and I do all the clean-up.

I'm sure I'll be going to my parents house. This is what we've been doing the last few years. This year, the place I work for will be closed for Thanksgiving (Hallelujah!) so I won't have to worry about working and trying to meet up with my family later or trying to eat with my family first and then rushing off to go to work. Last year was the first time that my employer has closed for Thanksgiving and they are apparently doing it again this year. (They had decided to close due to the pandemic). I'm just glad I'll be able to enjoy Thanksgiving with my family this year without having to work that day.

I will be working on Black Friday though. That's be a 12 hour day (or really close to it).

I already started working on the menu and grocery list! My husband's family always made homemade ravioli for the holidays so we'll be doing that except we won't make as much as we did last year. I'll scale it down.

We'll have Antipasto for appetizer
Ravioli
Garlic Bread
and for dessert
My mother-in-law's brownies
and Eggnog Pie

I think it's going to be chili, tamales, and random sides this year. We're not going to have the traditional Thanksgiving spread.

Nothing, Something that we or my country doesn't do :) Rather just have a normal day and relax or whatever that day comes to really :)

Never thought to make an eggnog pie. I'm going to search online for a recipe and try this.

I'm going to try the no bake one because you make it a day or more beforehand and freeze it and then thaw it for 4 hours in the fridge before eating it. I can't wait!!
