Do you remember the days of the PlayStation 2?

Do you still have one? What were your favorite games?

Still have mine, love it :). WWE games, Final Fantasy games, Rule of Rose, Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, Okami, so many great games :)

Yep, totally remember. My parents got me the PS2 and didn't expect it as a kid. I miss the days where we lived with other family just cause my parents didn't have to do as many payments on stuff etc.

I never had one. I had a PS1 then a PS4. Never really had much experience with PS2 or PS3.

Just looked up the PS2 and PS3 release date.

PS2 - in Oct 2000 and PS3 - in 2006, was too busy being a high school hooligan and then a young dad back then.

PS4 came out in 2013, when things were a little calmer in my life.

PS2 was arguably the best console ever. The graphics jump from PS1 was incredible at the time. Final Fantasy X might still be my favorite game.
..and PS4 and PS5 look pretty much the same. :P

I don't think I was as impressed by the jump between PS4 and PS5 as I was at the jump from PS1 to PS2. I think a large part of the reason being that for lots of the titles on the PS5 they were released on both PS4 and 5 which would have limited have far they could push things in the PS5 versions. I could be wrong, but I don't believe this happened anywhere close to that degree on the PS2. A lot were made specifically for the new console.

I had a PS2, it was the first console that I ever bought myself. I did a pamphlet run after school and on weekends to pay for it. I loved it. I still have a PS2 but it is broken and can't recognize when it is shut.

Indeed, also with titles launching on both systems it kind of makes people not want to bother upgrading.
