Well, it wasn't surprising but I didn't see it coming. The end of "The Cassandra Project" by Jack McDevitt and Mike Resnick nearly made my eyes roll out of my head at the idiocy of it. It was clever to make the reader think the truth of what they found on the Moon would be something unique or something though.
