Have you ever thought about making your own podcast?

What would you talk about?

If you have a podcast or done one in the past, what is/was it about?

I have never been into podcasts, so I may be a little naive here, but I feel like everyone is doing a podcast these days, is there really enough of a gap in the market for people to continue to create new podcasts? For me, I can't see myself getting into them any time soon and certainly won't be creating my own!🤣🤣

My cousin made one once. I listed a few times but it was boring. He just talked about sports with one of his friends. I don't think he does it anymore.

Could I do one? Nah, I don't like to talk that much.

Counterpoint, the same could be said about YouTube channels. Is there a market for creating a YouTube channel? Nowadays, it is perceived more as a financial endeavor, but, in the heyday of YouTube, we created YouTube channels because we wanted a YouTube channel. You'd have a select group of friends who'd support you, you'd support them and it was mostly done for fun with no other ulterior motivation behind it. The idea behind putting in the time and effort for something that isn't financially lucrative or in the market for a sense of community is a rare breed (we're posting on one example).

I have a Podcast called The Nightmare Shift (but I only have one episode of it), which was intended as a feeling out of what I wanted to do for it. Ultimately, the reason behind it is because I want to encourage myself to engage more with stories (movies, books, etc.) and look at them in a more thoughtful way (here's a link, if nothing else, I really like the graphic art I have for it - I would embed it here, but Nebulous was once mugged by an embedded image and now holds a deep-seated prejudice against them being on his forum).

I have been thinking about podcasting since 2012, I even tried with my phone once but I gave up the idea as I was not a good speaker. I want to create podcasts about philosophy with focus on culture and religion.

I don't think I could work on a podcast. I don't mind making Youtube videos, but I just don't know what I'd talk about for at least an hour. Heck, I just don't think I'd be able to carry a conversation for an hour. :V I'd get exhausted after 15 minutes. xD

Work on a podcast? There's an idea. You can be a podcast producer instead of the one talking.
