Has there ever been a super popular game that you tried out and just didn't like at all?

Recent for me that was Dragon Age 3. I hated it. The more I played it, the more I was disappointed with it. I didn't like how it rails you right into being the good guy, I didn't care for the story.
It was a horrendous knock off from The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and Guild Wars. Just shit terrible in my opinion.

Sure, you could customize your character and choose between a few races. But still it disappointed me to no end.

Umm, how was it a knock off from GW? 0_o (agreed on elder scrolls though)

Honestly I'd probably like the story. I loved it from the first 2 games at least. I just hate this open world bullshit. I think the only game I liked it in was oblivion (and to an extend morrowind).

As for the game that disappointed me most in recent years (other than DA3) has to be Skyrim. I loved oblivion, I was so psyched about it... And then just utter fail. The main storyline was ridiculously boring, the dark brotherhood finished in like an hour and their version of the fighter's guild had to be around shitty werewolves. The only thing decent about that game was the thieves guild, but even that was bad in comparison to previous versions.

And don't even get me started about ESO, talk about guild wars rip offs...

Guild Wars NightFall when Abbadon tries to enslave all of man kind and sends his demonic hordes from his realm. Much like Mehrunes Dagon from Oblivion.

Also, you're very correct about ESO being a Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 knock off.

I am hoping some day that they bring Guild Wars to future console systems for Online play. I was more than hoping to see Guild Wars 2 come to PS4. Now that would have been epic as my lap top can barely handle its graphics. But I know my PS4 could if they could one day do that. Although they probably wont.

BTW. Were you ever Luxon or Kurzick? :)

Arenanet can't handle a port to another gaming system. They have an extremely hard time just optimizing it for PC and they don't have the funds. I'm sure they'd love to do it, but since it took them 2 years to bring out what seems to be an extremely lackluster expansion... Yeah, I don't see it happening.

I've been both I guess. Maxed out both influence achievements.

As for the storylines of nightfall and oblivion, I wouldn't really call it a rip off, more just a really stereotypical story.
