Premium Memberships...

Does your site have them? Do any of your members use them? What are the perks that they receive?

This has been something that we at DH have been thinking long and hard on. As you know, we recently did the official launch of the premium memberships, but I am wondering if we could do more. As our userbase, what would entice you to upgrade your membership?
Especially since we have options using the free-virtual currency Hubux, so the only thing you would invest is your time?

What do you do on your sites?

Yes, my online discussion community offers premium memberships. Some of the benefits include unlimited PM storage, a colored username, a special section, and much more. Members acknowledge they are paying to support my community, not for an account upgrade.

These are simple incentives and bonuses that we offer as a way of saying thank you.

The forum I am running this idea on, has a premium option, but I have yet to get anyone to go after it. The forum is geared towards a mobile game, and even though I have a number of people from the game on it, none of them are active sadly. If they were active, the forum would be booming with more users, and possibly a few people going after the premium options.

The memberships DiscussionHub is offering are great. I'm loving the bold, shiny sapphire username. It makes me stand out from the crowd. Thank you for offering such a superb forum shop.

Mine has the option automatically by the service provider. None of my membership use it afaik as the only major benefit is ad free which can easily be dealt with.

The rest of the benefits seem to be just profile cosmetics and attachment increase.

I like it, but sorry i am not a fan of fancy usernames and colors. I like the benefits give through the membership though. It is fun to earn Hubux and pay for membership.

It's funny coming back to this because we actually scrapped premium memberships. But with the removal of advertisements from the site, we ended up going back to them. We have 2 upgraded members at the moment so I guess it was a good move.

Premium memberships, if you have a good amount of members gets your more money and earnings then from ads

Yeah, it's a lot better than advertisements if you can get those conversions in. Just a few upgraded members can help you out a lot and create more revenue than ads ever could.

There are always offers you can do and think Can be simple also.

There are a million virtual things you could offer though. Sometimes, people just like to donate to help out the community and owner so they don't care too much about the benefits.
