That's the wrong word, at least for me.
"Satisfied" or possibly "somewhat content" would be more appropriate.
When somebody says they are "proud of themselves" I always recall a Proverb... oh, how does that go.....

Nah proud...let's keep it on I'm happy with the way it goes.
Dunno, too early to tell. I've been an idiot as a teenager but I was the only one of my friends that started working when I was 18. I live alone and I have my own car. Not a lot of people my age can say that over here. The rest of my friends just drank 2 years away in college and still have accomplished nothing.
So let's just say I'm happy with the way I turned my life around.

Yeah, I am. I was pretty depressed from ages 12 to 13 myself though, feeling the same as everyone else but once I found myself at 13 I felt better, knowing I was unique in good ways.
