Should management participate in Public Discipline?



(Ex: You bump your thread more than you're suppose to)



What do you do to inform them they've broke a rule?

A majority of the Discipline should be done in private (by PM's) but a simple rule reminder in the thread is fine. If someone is constantly breaking the rules and the staff do not mention anything in public then everyone else will automatically assume that nothing is ever done about broken rules.

I agree with Nebulous. Like, if it's an advertisement forum, and you're only allowed to bump your topic every 48 hours, a gentle public reminder, You may only bump your topic every 48 hours or something along those lines, would suffice. If it commences, then I would go for a PM warning, third time, use the warning system that your software comes with. So I agree. And yes, if you're planning to punish someone for a wrongdoing, I'd rather be PM'd about it, I dislike being called out on it in public, unless it's a friendly reminder about the offense.
