You bet we do! If I am with the wife or my father who is a action and scifi junkie like me we now sit all the way in the back against the wall.

Another maniac has shot up another movie theater. This time he actually killed himself saving taxpayers a lifetime bill of incarcerating the waste of oxygen. But he took others with him. They were in a Gun Free Zone. Or not.

Most movie theaters ban customers from carrying concealed guns while on their premises. In essence, the owners of movie theaters are keeping law-abiding citizens from protecting themselves against maniacal murderers like James Holmes in Colorado and John Houser in Louisiana.

AWD rarely, if ever, leaves the house without his trusty Glock concealed on his hip. I decided long ago that I would rather deal with stupid laws if caught for carrying in movie theaters than having to risk my life on the mercy of a madman who doesn’t follow stupid laws and bans in movie theaters.

AWD rarely goes to the movie theater now that Chuck has retired from films. After Spiderman 14 and every other possible super hero they can come up with, I find most movies extremely tedious. The last time I went to a movie, I saw a trailer for an upcoming movie called Antman. I crap you negative. What’s next, Worm Man? I think they’ve all of the movies that can possibly be made. On that note, a remake of National Lampoon’s 1983 movie Vacation will soon be out. You won’t see me in the theater.

Let them listen in. The onay thing a movie theater can do if they know I am armed at the time is say leave.

well, for one, if you're in private property, you're freedom of having a gun is not there...

if it's a gun free zone then you'll be arrested, it's the law, and it has nothing to do with your liberty or freedom...

movie theaters are private property, not your property...

the what if and what maybes goes right out the window if you really think about it...

i'm all for protecting yourself and having a gun, but if a private business don't want guns on their property, and you don't like it, then leave or don't go on their property...

You will not be arrested or can be unless you refuse to leave.

I really think about it and you are wrong.

More then happy to leave when asked.

I ask you, since when has "no law is being broken" stopped "the Men from Uncle" from harassing private citizens?

Never, but I will no longer be scared of speaking out about my opinion or what I do. Harass me if they wish to do so. Am waiting for the harassment with the IRS anyways since I have refused to fill out the sections proving I have health insurance.

Concerned Shopper Tackles A Man With A Legal, Licensed, Concealed-Carry Gun

Carrying a concealed weapon is perfectly legal in Florida – provided you have all the necessary paperwork in order, of course – but that didn’t stop one concerned shopper from taking the law into his own hands and tackling another shopper who was legally carrying a concealed weapon, WTSP is reporting.

Clarence Daniels is a legal, concealed-carry permit holder who was exercising his right by carrying a concealed gun – in his holster – as he was getting out of his vehicle in the parking lot of a Walmart in Brandon, Florida, on Tuesday. Forty-three-year-old shopper Michael Foster saw Daniels getting out of his vehicle with his gun.

According to the Tampa Tribune, Foster followed Daniels into the Walmart and kept close behind him as he shopped. Then, rather than call 911 or alert store security about the gun – or, ignore the matter entirely since Daniels wasn’t breaking any laws – Foster took the law into his own hands and grabbed the 62-year-old man from behind, via a choke hold, then pulled him to the ground, all the while shouting “He’s got a gun!”

During the struggle, Daniels protested that he had a permit to legally carry the concealed gun.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene to sort the matter out. Once they determined that Daniels was legally carrying his concealed gun, they arrested Foster on charges of battery.

Florida has some of the most permissive gun laws in the country, according to USA Carry, including the right to carry a concealed weapon. Private entities in Florida – such as a retail store like Walmart – are free to set their own policies regarding guns on their property. If you carry a gun into a Florida business that has declared itself a gun-free zone, you are not committing a crime per se; however, you can be asked to leave, and you are trespassing if you don’t leave when asked.

“Properties that display a No Gun sign do not have the force of law in Florida unless that property is specifically mentioned in the State Law as being off limits to permit holders. If you are asked to leave a property then you must leave. Refusing is breaking the law and you can be charged.”

Walmart, as a general rule, does not have a nationwide no-guns policy; rather, they defer to local law and/or the store manager’s discretion on the issue, according to Newsmax.

As for the scuffle at the Florida Walmart over a legal, concealed gun, neither the assailant nor the victim were injured.

Do you believe the concerned shopper was right to tackle first and ask questions later when he saw a man enter a store with a concealed gun?

it doesn't matter if you have a license, the business over-rules your rights on their property...

some businesses allow guns, others don't... deal with it...

As the law states you cannot be arrested. If for some reason they know I am carrying one day and they ask me to leave I will happily. Now if I refused then they can arrest me for trespassing. Otherwise there is nothing a mall, store or movie theater can do about it. So I deal with it and carry everywhere except in government facilities.

right... but try to act out, you don't know what the cops would do so be careful...
