Okay, I currently have a Sandisk Sansa M240 MP3 player. I am planning to get a newer one of the same brand, hopefully with higher Gigabytes than I currently got. Also, it'll be a one where a person can actually charge batteries, as I am tired of spending $7 on batteries. However, I also want to get my own computer, and if I get both in the same year, here's my question:

I lost my Backstreet Boys This Is Us CD a while back, but I have the album on our family computer, thus, I also have it on my MP3 Player. My Question is: If I delete everything on our family's computer as far as music goes, and I get my own computer, is there a way I can get songs on my laptop without synching CDs all over again? What I mean, is, if I get a new MP3 Player, and I get a new laptop, and set everything up accordingly, will I be able to plug my old Sandisk MP3 Player in, put all the songs back in the Library without synching CDs, and then transfer those songs to the new MP3 player? I really want to know because Backstreet Boys This Is Us is the only CD I can't find, and I don't feel like buying another one while I'm at it (although this isn't the first time I've had to replace a CD lol). Thanks for any help recieved.

Depending on the Mp3 player will determind how easy this is. Generally, I'd say yes. Here's a test for you. Plug in your old Mp3 player into a computer. look for it to pop up on my computer. Click it. It might have files saying DCIM and MISC, or maybe even MUSIC. It depends on the make. Find where the files are located on the Mp3 player. On plain Mp3 players, this is pretty easy to do. When you have found the files, either highlight them all, and drag them to your computer, or click the ones you want, and copy them to somewhere on your computer.. And voila! You have your old files.

Okay, so I have an older MP3 player, a Sansa Sandisk M240 MP3 Player, which doesn't have any album art or anything. I'm planning on getting a Sansa Fuze 8 Gigabyte MP3 Player, which I believe you can see album art of what you're listening to. Will this work with the newer model?

Album art is sometimes attached to a music file when downloading. You don't see it, unless you open it with a program that will recognize it, like iTunes, an MP3 player, or even highlighting it in your Window. If not- You can do it manually too. iTunes works, and I'm sure there are many other programs you could use, too.
