R.E.M. split up, after 31 years

This is bad news for those that like the band as a whole or like their songs... the band have announced that they have split up after 31 years together. Full story here.



Although they're not amongst my favourite bands, I do like their songs such as Losing My Religion and Everybody Hurts. Still, it's sad for a great band like them to crumble up and disappear.

Ohh, THANK GOD! That was way overdue. After Automatic For The People they haven't made a single song that lives up to the quality of their first 3 albums. The inspiration has been gone for more than a decade.

I can't say I'm too bothered. I only I like one of their songs... I'm probably in the minority though...
