Some of you may know that Oprah Winfrey, a well-known talk shot host and one of the richest women in the world, was recently a victim of racism when she was at Switzerland, where this came when she tried to purchase a handbag costing around £24,000 (don't know how much that is in Euros) and the shopkeeper (a young woman) refused to give her it, saying that it'd be too expensive for her to buy. Now, I believe that woman is very ignorant and probably doesn't know who Oprah is. Come on, EVERYONE in the goddamn world knows who she is! Thankfully that woman's job is on the line and Oprah herself calmly walked out from the shop.

I then find out that there's been more counts of racism in the country, according to a newspaper story I noticed yesterday. To back up the fact that Switzerland is indeed racist to blacks, Indians or whatever, I've been trying to look for reliable sources on this such as this. So, is Switzerland really prejudiced to people that are not of their own race? I am aware that racism happens everywhere but it seems that Switzerland is getting more attention.

Oh, I thought that thread was just about Oprah Winfrey's experience. This one is about apparent racism in the entire country where more reports have been made about it, such as that link I provided.

And then you have:

WEST MONROE, La. (CBS Houston) — A New York City hotel kicks out one of the stars of “Duck Dynasty” after an employee thought he was a homeless man.

Appearing along with his family on “Live with Kelly and Michael” Wednesday morning, Jase Robertson described the incident.

“The first thing that happened to me at the hotel was I got escorted out,” Robertson said, joking that it was a “facial-profiling deal.”

Robertson said that the hotel employee simply didn’t know who he was.

“I asked where the bathroom was and he said, ‘Right this way, sir.’ He was very nice,” Robertson explained. “He walked me outside, pointed down the road and said, ‘Good luck.’”
