Radio Licences

Hi Friends,

When I am young that is in sixties, we have a radio to listen music, news and drams. On those days the Govt is collecting Licence fee for having Radios. Every radio owner should pay the tax at post office for some period 3/6 months, separate stamps for licence was there on those days. Exactly I do not know the time to collect licence fee. I have those licence books with me at Hyderabad. I got the picture of licence stamps issued by AIR( All India Radio) Ebay on line shop site is selling these used stamps in the net any body can buy them and collect them they are rare piece of collection.Next time I will post scan copies of those licences with Licence stamps on the Licence books

That's a nice license stamp...so basically, you have to pay a fee in order to have a radio? ...or am I reading that wrong?

You are right, the Radio owner should have a licence to use that radio on those days.

That sounds almost as bad, my friend, as the idea of the BBC over in the U.K. collecting fees for every television in the land...
