I have a Maine Coon cat, she’s older now, and it was costly even back then. I had two, but one is no longer with me. Anyway, I also wanted a Sphynx, but the cat I have now will be my last pet for many reasons like the cost of vets, and another one is how hard it is to travel.

The travel issue is why we don't have any pets currently. We can go away for a day or two, or whatever and have no worries about getting back to a pet.
