Rash moderating decision?

What was your last rash moderating decision, that probably should have gone differently?

I got fed up with a member someplace and instead of giving him a Warning, I just banned him. This happened 2 days ago. There's really only so much abuse I want to take from people from now on. Looking back, I probably should have only given him a Warning first and then if he kept up a 3 month ban. It's what I would have done for one of my friends on that same forum. He's been banned multiple times and I keep forgiving him lol

I think you did the right thing. You're easy to get along with, very understanding, and tolerant of other people. If they pissed you off, then they must have done something to deserve their ban. You were just upholding the rules of your community. What I like the most about you as a staff member is that you don't want to discipline people, it's just that you know it has to be done sometimes when those people show a repeated refusal to abide by common decency and the guidelines themselves.
