I started to learn PHP back in the mid-2000s and am now re-learning it. I LOVE it and have been taking a few courses of Udemy.

What books or websites would you direct someone to learn PHP?

PHP is my main language since I’m mainly a web developer/programmer, personally I would recommend YouTube tutorials that’s how I started.

StackOverFlow is another decent site or for beginners W3Schools. :D

I learned a lot of HTML using W3Schools. :)

W3Schools is amazing for beginners and I know for sure that you will pick it up soon enough but I'm here to guide you if need be! :)

Touched on it a little in school, I should use udemy to get more familiar with it.
Udemy is another good one and years ago there was something could PHPAcademy, They're under a different name now but don't remember exactly what they rebranded to.

Main thing is to learn without spending too much or any money on it :P

YouTube help me with the basics :D
but the issue is things are constantly changing so now there's more advanced things to learn that cost money.

I won't lie but PHP is getting more and more complex as it goes, look at Flarum, for example, I tried it out and it's not easy to program with, I'm only a Traditional PHP programmer.

Yeah, Flarum is complex to me. lol

I was trying to code features for it and they are more object oriented then anything I’ve ever seen, so I went back to XF.
