January is a boom month for online dating, but certain irksome recurring phrases might put off potential mates.

A Magazine article listing 20 cliches people write on their profiles attracted a huge response from readers.

Here are a few of the most unpopular expressions.

I don't use online dating sites but I found some of these phrases quite funny.

Yea I saw a few of them on Plenty of Fish when I was looking. I did find my match though, or actually he found me, we both said how each others profiles were unique and didn't have these phrases. Every one seems to put these!

I can see where it would be a big turn off reading the same crap over and over. Happy you found each other through your uniqueness.

Most of em are pretty cheezy quotes. It seems however that that's a great way to eliminate a lot of the posers and only talk to people who have a serious profile.

I agree with Kirito. It's a great way to sort out who you dob't want. It's funny, because they think it makes them look intellectual and different, but in reality it dies the exact opposite! I've never tried online dating.. Luckily me and my girlfriend were able to meet at work.
