Sure. There's quite a few friends and family members that I want to reconnect with, even reached out to some of them with no luck.

Not only I don't want to reconnect with anyone from my past, but I'd also be delighted to sever all present connections with the human race. Alas, the world is designed to favor networking over solitude.

You can but that's a tad bit boring to me.
Elite MemberI've tried reconnecting with a few past friends in my childhood/teen years, but they didn't seem very interested in reconnecting with me. I guess they were too busy with their own life or had new friends/SO that they cared about more.

I kind of did that to an old friend from high school. I feel bad. He reached out on FB and wanted to hang out and I told him I was too busy at the moment, then never got back to him.
I think sometimes we want to get away from our past and open up to the present/future, which is why it may be hard for some people to reconnect with old friends.

Well, that's also another valid reason. Some things we were interested in our youth are no longer interesting to us in our adulthood.I just thought we'd have nothing in common or anything to talk about.
