Release date for new iPhone 6s is revealed in leaked internal email

A leaked email from within Vodafone has revealed that there is a new iPhone on the way – and it’s due on September 25.

Keen Apple fans will be able to pre-order the handset on September 18, according to the communication seen by Mobile News.

No details of the handset were revealed – it’s just referred to as ‘New iPhone’, rather than a product name – but the date tallies with Apple’s usual release schedule.

Previous rumours have suggested that iPhone 6s could cannibalise technology from the Apple Watch, such as its ‘Force Touch’ screen, which can tell between a light touch and a harder press.

Other leaks have suggested that the new handset could offer a much-improved camera over its predecessor, with a 12 megapixel camera.
