What one book do you think should be required reading for everyone?

No one book is that important.

But I wouldn't mind if more people understood Dune references ^^

Bible.

My Sisters Keeper

The Lovely Bones

Nobody reads the whole bible. At least Genesis, for Christians and Catholics.

I don't think there really is any book out there everyone should read, although it would be nice if people pulled out and actually studied their math/history/science books once in a while.

No religious book should be required reading anyway, that kinda takes away from the ability to choose your own beliefs

lol, this is true - however, it would help if people knew instead of making blind accusations about the bible that are completely wrong. XD

Ironic isn't it? How people make blind accusations about the bible yet Christians make blind accusations about many other things at the same time. Accusing certain religions of being evil is one.

then i would have to question the legitimacy of those Christians, because Christians should be tolerating and loving above all else.

Lets not turn this into a religious debate. I was talking more about books you would read for entertainment anyways... Like a novel or something.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

Yeah, I know, I've mentioned this book before, but it's great. It gives keen insight into sterotypes and prejudice. It's set in the Southern US, but it relates to anywhere. Instead of dealing with white trash and blacks. Maybe think about the sterotypes on hispanics or orientials. Think about how your experiences relate to your perceptions. A novel guaranteed to make you think......

*Hugs Grailknight* You sir are correct. I really see absolutely no book that should be required to be read.
