Is is really that hard to show a little respect to the places you advertise at? Is it too much to ask to respond to the comments made on your ad thread to show that each person is more to you then just a plus one in member count?

I come across a lot of ad threads where it seems it is too much to ask of these people and I cannot find it in me to care about forums like that or give any time to posting or joining those places when I see those types trying to advertise their forum.

If you are going to bump your thread with something then please do something besides point out you exist and/or the numbers at the bottom?

There is nothing special about a forum existing and I honestly don't care about your stats as they mean nothing.

Would agree, even though my forum isn't exactly successful..

A few people have ratted out on my forum's dark theme, but other people (especially some of the members on my forum) have liked the dark theme, actually..

It's not exactly a good idea to bump with stats, I just simply a simple bump.

Of course, I don't advertise much, though.

Although its polite to respond to people's opinions in an ad thread, I don't think its disrespectful not to, after all it's not a Peer to Peer review or commentary forum, its a place advertise... If a person just wants their ad thread as promotional tool & nothing else, they are entitled to do so.

I can see why people bump with stats or to point out that they exist, they might want new people to see their thread.. At the same time I can see how these bumps might get annoying to long term members tired of seeing meaningless numbers over and over again.

If someone comments on a thread on a forum I advertise at, whether it be positive or negative, I always try to respond politely. I'm never one to be rude back at people or to ignore comments completely. However, if two or more people give me the same complement, I will most likely say something to them like thank you for your comment and direct it at both posters so I'm not quoting one person and then the other right away.
