Have you ever returned something to the store you bought it from?

Why did you return it?

Did you get a refund?

Have you ever seen them reject a request for a refund?

Yes! I used to buy DVDs frequently brand new from the store, and on more than one occasion I'd buy one, get home and find the disc scratched beyond use. So I'd take it back and exchange it. No hassle, no fuss, just a quick exchange and that was that.

The only thing I can remember returning to the store is one of those iPhone pad chargers because my iPhone was too old for its support. I did get my money back, possibly in store credit.

I hear that, when you use actual money you should be refunded with actual money.
I know right, such a simple concept. Store credit refunds should be banned.

I think that Costco does it right; if you paid for it with cash you get cash back; if you paid with a credit card they'll put a refund on the card.

I have. I don't like returning stuff because some of the people doing the returning act like it's a crime to do so. I've worked at places that I've done many returns. I honestly don't/didn't care about returns unless it interfered with store policy: bringing stuff back after five years that's been worn several times, etc but even then I'm not acting like a person is committing a crime. Don't care. There's a store I shop at that since covid, they've gotten rid of their dressing rooms so I may like an article of clothing, think it's my size, go home only to find out it's not because I couldn't try it on at the store.

I've had no problem getting my money back. Me personally, I have never had them reject a return of mine. I have seen and done rejections at my place of employment/other places for reasons the return is after the allotted time or as I mentioned before, people wanting to return items years later after much use.

Yes!
I balked at that idea at first; but, actually it's pretty easy to leave the labels on things until I can try them on, save the receipt & then take it back to the store with no hassle.
