My secondary school had a "rock" climbing wall outside. I spent a few hours of PE staring at it and occasionally climbing up a bit.

I've done it indoors. It can be fun, but only for 1-2 hours. Any longer and it's gets boring imo.

Both as it was part of the rescue training program I had to take. We would go twice a week for 3 weeks for 2 hours. The weather would determine if we climbed inside or outside. As it turned out, we climbed more inside than outside.

Well half the time I'd be on the ground making sure a friend doesn't fall face first into the ground, so it's not that tiring.

Oh yeah, I see. The rock climbing wall at my old gym had a different harness system.

Aww, that's half the fun. If they're not fast enough to keep the rope stretched, you can "fall down" and catapult your friend face first into the wall.
