Former NBA star Dennis Rodman, who has just returned from North Korea, has angrily rejected calls that he lobby for the release of imprisoned American citizen Kenneth Bae.
Rodman met the country's ruler Kim Jong-Un during his second trip to the reclusive Asian nation, and called the leader a "friend for life".
The former basketball player had previously called for the release of Mr Bae, a Christian missionary arrested in November and sentenced to 15 years' hard labour.
But he has now said Mr Bae's fate is none of his business.
"Guess what? That's not my job to ask about Kenneth Bae," Rodman told reporters upon arrival at the airport in China's capital, Beijing.
"Ask Obama about that. Ask Hillary Clinton," a visibly agitated Rodman shouted.
The Associated Press news agency said he hurled obscene remarks back at reporters who quizzed him about the purpose of his trip.
At one point, he had to be restrained by a member of his entourage before being bundled into a waiting car, the AP reported.
Chomping an unlit cigar, the typically flamboyant Rodman displayed a stack of photos showing him hugging Mr Kim, laughing and conversing with him over a meal.
Another image showed the two men watching a basketball game together.
Mr Kim is believed to be a basketball fan.
"He's my friend for life. I don't care what you guys think about him," Rodman said of Mr Kim.

Kim's probably the only friend Rodman has.
