Roman Polanski, director of such films as Rosemary's Baby, The Pianist, and Chinatown, was arrested in Switzerland this week to await extridition to the United States. He was convicted in the mid 1970's of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor. According to testimony at the trial, Polanski gave this 13 year old girl drugs and alcohol, then raped and sodomized her. Before serving his sentence, he left the United States. It's been 26 years since his sentence was handed down. Polanski is now 76. Do you think he should be forgiven and allowed no jail time, or should he have to serve a sentence in jail for what he did all those years ago?
