Having a roommate doesn't necessarily provide you with ANY social interaction. I had roommates in the past who I hardly ever seen. We had opposite schedules and when we were both at home we were in our own rooms. If we ran into each other in the hall we just walked by each other without even acknowledging each other.I'd rather have a roommate than live alone since I get lonely pretty easily.
Me and my last roommate talked regularly and watched TV and played video games with each other, so it just all depends on who your roommate is and how close you are to them in terms of friendship.Having a roommate doesn't necessarily provide you with ANY social interaction. I have room'ed with friends in the past but I've also room'ed with people who show zero interest in having a friendship. You can't really expect a roommate to be your friend or anything beyond someone who pays half the bills. Its a business transaction really.Me and my last roommate talked regularly and watched TV and played video games with each other, so it just all depends on who your roommate is and how close you are to them in terms of friendship.
Those don't sound like friends to me.I've also room'ed with people who show zero interest in having a friendship.
