I'd say FPS are more popular these days, but RPGs are way better and they've always been better IMO.

As to answer the topic. I prefer both simultaneously. Fallout are RPG/ FPS game series.

I easily prefer RPGs. Find them to be much more engaging and since I grew up preferring them, they have the whole nostalgic appeal to them too.

Japanese RPGs, like Final Fantasy, Blue Dragon, etc.

Nah, JRPGs are totally different, totally their own thing, lots of fun
