This morning a friend of a friend drove up to where we were in a Jeep.
He had a row of rubber duckies in all sorts of colors and several sizes lined up on the dash under the windshield.
An old friend of mine asked him "what's up with the ducks, I see them in lots of Jeeps and don't know why they're there."
The driver of the Jeep kind of struck a pose and said "because Jeep Drivers are just Wild and Crazy like that."
I laughed.
When the driver looked at me I said: "I've read almost every word Hunter S. Thompson ever wrote. I spent some time and effort going through the life and legend of Keith Moon. And I have a working knowledge of the career of Steve Martin as an actor, a musician, and a comedian. And you're telling me that putting Ernie from Sesame Street's bathtub toy on your dash makes you wild and crazy. OK."
I think he got mad at me, but he didn't say anything and walked away.
