A 14-year-old boy and his 13-year-old girlfriend who ran away together last month from Michigan have been found safe in the Uptown neighborhood in Chicago.

Braxton Wood and Jayden Thomas ran away from their homes on Aug. 26, taking a 2005 Ford explorer belonging to Wood's mother, authorities said. The teens are from two communities about 16 miles apart in Central Michigan -- and about 270 miles from where they were found this past weekend in Chicago.

MOUNT PLEASANT (WWJ) – A Michigan judge has ruled a couple of teens dubbed “Romeo and Juliet” must wear electronic monitors and can’t have contact with each other, following their two-week getaway.
