Do the SAT and ACT tests accurately determine the intelligence and capability of their testers?

I think they serve a purpose, but that purpose is somewhat limited. I mean I went from an 1880 to a 2090 so that's a pretty big fluctuation.

Tests dont really prove anything. Some people can be great at regular daily classwork/homework/projects/reports and do poorly on tests due to anxiety and nervousness.

I don't think the tests really prove anything, because the person could be a good test taker and do well on the ACT / SAT but do poorly when it comes to classwork / college.

Testing is only proof of how good your memory is. Lie detector tests are useful though.

SAT/ACT are generally good at predicting your general level of intelligence I believe. But it has been found that in college, self-discipline is twice as important when determining final grades.
