Schools are starting to consider making up missed days (snow days, bad weather, etc) on Saturday. Thoughts? I personally am against it. I say just let us have our weekends off and we'll make it up during the regular school week. Maybe extended the school calender an extra week to make up the few days the school has missed.

Same here. It's silly, because it's not like another week of one or two days is going to hurt anyone, and plus, no one would go on Saturday anyways, so no point. At my school, most people don't even go the last week if they're exempt from exams.

I live in Southern California so snow days are extraordinarily rare (never had one in my life), but I wouldn't encourage any school to start taking kid's Saturdays away from them to make up for uncontrollable factors (such as the weather, etc.) That's stupid.

I agree. Our school will probably add them to the end of the year, but I saw something on the news about it.

Just take a few days from summer vacation.. Thats the best thing to do.

Some districts around here have saturday school but its like a 4 hour detention /punishment.

Others do friday school (have to stay 4 hours after school on Friday afternoon).
