Do you like scary movies? What is the best one out there?

I actually run a website where I review numerous films and they tend to often be horror, there is numerous out there such as the A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Scream, Halloween, Child's Play and Saw franchises. Personally, I always enjoyed Elm Street because of how differentiating and creative the character was but in my opinion, Halloween cranked out the best movies, Scream continuously makes solid movies but none of them have been great, Child's Play made a couple of solid movies but began to plummet as the series continued similar to what Saw did. Friday the 13th was horrendous, I believe that it may quite honestly be the worst series out there, I don't have anything to say about it besides that it sucked. I'd have to say that my top five in no particular order is: Wes Craven's New Nightmare, Halloween: Curse of Michael Myers, Freddy vs. Jason, Alphabet Killer, and Halloween (remake).

I am looking forward to seeing Final Destination 5. I know a lot of people say this series should die off already but I like them.

I like the scream movies, even went as the ghost one halloween.

The Shining is one of my favorite classics. Oh and the blob & arachnophobia!

Disturbia is a really good film, probably the best one starring Shia, it's not exactly a horror but it has elements of that nature more of a thriller.

Thats the one with the kid on house arrest spying on the murderer neighbor?

It was okay I suppose. Not great.

Slashers are great. Though Human Centipede is a good movie too even though I had to cover my eyes in parts... Yes a Horror addict almost threw up while watching that sick movie. Crazy characters are good in movies too such as Michael Myers etc.

I didn't find Human Centipede scary, I found the idea of something having to eat somebody else's feces to survive fairly disgusting but that it about how sick I found that movie.

Wasn't the fact it was scary. It was the fact I was trying not to throw up. That movie is disgusting! My friends managed to do that so I wanted to be the one that didn't. XD

I'm more into the classic scary movies. A few that scared me where:

  • Psycho (1960)
  • Repulsion (1965)
  • Jaws (1975)
  • The Exorcist (1973)

I've seen

- The Exorcist

- Paranormal Activity 1,2 & 3

- Final Destination (nearly all of them)

- The Ring

- Jaws

-Mirrors

- Countless other films my step dad made me watch

For me The Ring was the best. Or Paranormal Activity.

I've seen a few horror films but none of them scared me. One example is Mirrors which is quite a scary film and I never got a single fright from it.
